Universal Connector
The unique and flexible universal connector allows future extension and the ability to adapt to the different plug standards throughout the world. You can purchase the multi-connector version which comes with all 3 European standard plugs:
Extending the Charger
The Universal Connector also allows for longer reach safely extending your charging distance to 10m when you need it. The 5 meter extension is available with Schuko, UK 3Pin and Commando connectors.
Advance Charging Safety
The ZenX chargers have built in LCD and advanced electronics that continuously monitors the charge parameters such as current, temperature, voltage, time and the amount of power used by your vehicle. You can see exactly what is happening and in the event of a detected problem, the charger will shut down.
Adjustable Charge Current (available only on ZenX Flex)
Adjust the current from 6 to 16 amps using the electronic FOBs. UK mains charging should be limited to 10 amp on normal domestic 3 pin household applications but can be increased to 16 amps in industrial and camping sites. We recommend a charge rate of 6 amps on older households to safely charge you car over extended periods of time.
Advantages of having a variable charge rate
- The lowest rate of 6A can be safely used anywhere, especially older houses.
- A 6A charge rate is safe to use with an domestic extension lead for extended periods of time. However, we still recommend using a 13amp extension cable.
- You can charge at the full 16amp charge rates at charging stations that can accept the Commando plug at industrial locations and caravan parks.
- You can install a 16A plug into your home and use the ZenX as a DIY wall mounted charging station.
