We work with more than 30 electric vehicle charging product suppliers. We have seen it all and we know what works. However, we have always believed that each product has its flaws and that no perfect product exists on the market. While we cannot question the technology in these products, which has become relatively standard now across the board, many designs are not easy to fit, some are inconveniently large, and they are often not aesthetically pleasing.
In response, we have decided to launch our own product which we believe meets the charging needs of our customers as well as fitting seamlessly into their lives. The EVCP aims to create a charging solution which is technologically robust, discreet and affordable. It is the smallest charger on the market with full electric vehicle charging capabilities. This means that it is easier to fit, particularly in smaller homes or those that require more creative charging solutions.
The small, simple aesthetic also means that the EVCP will blend effortlessly into any home and its design will not be at odds with any décor. By choosing a single colour and removing any additional features and design quirks, we have created a product that feels like a traditional electrical socket. We believe that your charger should not be noticeable but should still be pleasing to the eye if noticed.
Manufactured in partnership with SyncEV Charge Points, the EVCP is competitively priced with an RRP of £995 and is fully covered by our 3-year manufacturer warranty. Moreover, the product has full OLEV and CE approval so is eligible for a grant of up to 75% towards the cost, up to a maximum of £350.
Now for the geeky bit… The product is currently available with 7.4kW charge capability and has DC leakage as standard with 6MA DC and built in 30ma Type A AC RCD. It has a built-in earthing arrangement to avoid any extra groundwork and additional cost. It can be installed on a 40A MCB and the Fuse Saver Dynamic Load Management with CT Clamp will protect supply fuses. The product is IK07//IP54 rated and RFID as standard.
The EVCP itself is incredibly intelligent. It can schedule start times such that you use off-peak electricity and save £100’s per year. It is smart grid enabled and the supporting app give full user control and cloud billing for commercial applications. Multiple units can be linked together in a network and can take power from a PV system if available. Furthermore, the product is futureproofed for updates of firmware and software. We also provide installer training videos and technical support via phone, email and webchat to ensure you get the best out of your product.
For commercial installations, the product is supported by SyncEV CHARGE. This is an integrated software solution powered by a web-based control panel. It allows you to manage your EV charging network via OCPP, control your charging stations remotely, keep track of partnership relations and billing, and will provide statistical data to help you understand how the product is being used. It also allows your customers and stakeholders to use the product through a white label app, compatible with Android and iOS.
We couldn’t be more excited to share this product with you, but we do have a promise to make. We will remain independent of all suppliers, including our own product. We will only recommend this product if it is the right one for you. We believe it will be the right product for many situations and therefore we have put our faith in it. However, our priority is still to provide tailored charging solutions that meet the needs and wants of our customers. This will never change. We thank you for your continued support and we look forward to installing our EVCPs.
